DC Dimapur informs vehicle owners
Dimapur, February 14 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel has informed all the owners whose vehicles have been requisitioned for the 13th legislative assembly election and who have not reported for checking on February 10 as informed to report to the Transport Cell, DC office, Dimapur during office hour on or before February 15. In a notification, the DC cautioned that failure to comply with the notice will invite penalty under section 167 of the Representation of the People Act 1951, which may extend to the cancellation of the vehicle permit.
BJP, 54-Tuensang Sadar II denounces rumour
Tuensang, February 14 (MExN): The party officials and active members of BJP, 54-Tuensang Sadar II has condemned and denounced the “false and malicious rumour” about the demise of their party candidate spread by “some unscrupulous person(s) in certain social media with an intention to destroy her electoral prospect in this ensuing election.” On the contrary, “our candidate is in top health condition and very much sound and alive,” stated a press release from NT Mongko, mandal president, BJP 54-Tuensang Sadar II.
Common platform in Kohima
Kohima, February 14 (MExN): 8 Western Urban Panchayats Union is organizing Common Platform for polling stations under town wards – Daklane, New Market, Midland, Naga Hospital Authority Kohima and Officers Hill, on February 17, 11.00 am at APO Hall, Midland. All the candidates will be given 20 minutes to speak.
KVC common platform on Feb 17
Kohima, February 14 (MExN): The Kohima Village Council (KVC) will hold common platform for 10th Northern Angami 1 A/C seat on February 17 at 11:00 am at Ziekezou, Kewhimia ground. The candidates will be given 20-30 minutes to speak at the common platform. Two candidates – Khriehu Liezietsu (NPF) and Dr. Kekhrie Yhome (NDPP) – are locked in a straight contest for the February 27 polls.
Schools informed to register for interaction with PM
Kohima, February 14 (DIPR): Director of School Education, Wongthungo Tsopoe has informed that the Prime Minister of India will be interacting with the students of schools and colleges on matters concerning how to reduce exam stress on February 16 from 11:00 am to 12 noon. The programme will be broadcast live by doordarshan through DD National, DD News and DD India. Therefore, all the Head of Institutions (both government and private) have been informed to make necessary arrangements in their respective schools so as to enable the students to view and listen to the telecast. The compliance of the notification should be submitted through email at director.se.nagaland@gmail.com within one week from the date of telecast of the programme.
