AG Church Mungya to hold special prayer

ANDAMSA meeting on Feb 19
Kohima, February 6 (MExN): An emergency meeting of All Nagaland District Administration Ministerial Staff Association (ANDAMSA) has been convened on February 19, 10:30 am in the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner, Kohima to discuss various issues pertaining to the association. Therefore, ANDAMSA general secretary, Lichanbemo Kikon has requested all the central office bearers, superintendents, HAs of all districts and two representatives from each district to attend the meeting without fail.
BJP Kohima holds consultative meet
Kohima, February 6 (MExN): The newly elected State BJP President, Visasolie Lhoungu, today advised the workers of BJP Kohima district to start projecting the prospective candidate for the forthcoming 2018 assembly election and produce maximum member of BJP MLAs in the district. Lhoungu said this during the consultative meeting of BJP Kohima district held at Hut Restaurant here, which was attended by all seven Mandal Presidents, senior party leaders, frontal chief state council members. Vizopal Chaya and R. Sopu Angami, both State council members, exhorted the party workers to work unitedly for the uplift of the party. Hunting, fishing, cutting forest products banned in Rüzaphema
Dimapur, February 6 (MExN): Rüzaphema Youth Organisation (RYO) has informed leaders and villagers of all the neighbouring villages that hunting, fishing, and cutting of any forest products are strictly prohibited within Rüzaphema village jurisdiction with immediate effect. Defaulters will be sternly dealt with as per the customary law of the village and fine will be imposed as per the resolution, cautioned a press release issued by RYO President, Petevizo Ratsa and General Secretary, Kevizhapu Keyho. Village leaders concerned have been requested to cooperate and make wide publication of the immediate notice to their villagers.
Meeting of committee on gambling online games bill
Kohima, February 6 (MExN): Meeting of the Select Committee on Nagaland Prohibition of Gambling and Promotion and Regulation of Online Games of Skill Bill, 2015 has been fixed on February 10, 11:00 am in the Committee Room of the Assembly Secretariat in connection with the examination of the Nagaland Prohibition of Gambling and Promotion and Regulation of Online Games of Skill Bill, 2015. Therefore, all the Committee members have been requested to attend the meeting.

Truck meets with accident
Tseminyu, February 6 (DIPR): A pick-up truck (NL-07A/5866) headed towards Mokokchung from Dimapur met with an accident on February 5 around 2:00 pm at Tseminyu NH-2 between Pughoboto junction (Tseminyu) and Old Tseminyu Town. District Administration and Police of Tseminyu led by EAC Shelley Katiry reached the spot and ascertained the accident. The driver, identified as Takoyanger Ao (31), was accompanied by one Yongi Sangtam. According to official report, the vehicle rolled down some 50 ft below the road. The two occupants of the vehicle received minor injuries and were treated at CHC Tseminyu. They were later shifted to Kohima for further treatment.
TWA condemns
Kiphire, February 6 (MExN): Tikhir Women Association (TWA), the apex women organization of Tikhir tribe, has condemned the assault on one of its members at Shamator Town on February 3. “The attack on any member is an attack on the association, hence such uncivilized act will not be tolerated by TWA,” stated a press statement issued by TWA President, Carolin Tushila. TWA further demanded that the law enforcing agencies must immediately investigate and book the persons responsible for the attack.
TWUK celebrates Tsahyok-nye
Kohima, February 6 (MExN): Tikhir Women Union Kohima (TWUK) observed Tsahyok-nye, a festival of women folks to seek blessings before any seeding or sowing is done for the year, on February 6 at Red Cross building, Kohima. The programme was led by W Linsushi, short speech on the importance of the festival was delivered by TL Kius, Revenue Officer, Kohima, vote of thanks was delivered by Yongchem, President, TWUK. Tikhir women in Kohima observed the festival for the first time.
