DC & DEO Dimapur informs on postal ballot

Dimapur, February 15 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel, IAS in a notice informed all police personnel under Dimapur District, polling duty personnel registered as voters in other districts and all government employees under Dimapur District requisitioned for election duty as Sector Officer, Flying Squad Team members, Static Surveillance Team members, Video Surveillance Team members, Expenditure Monitoring Team members etc. and all government employees detailed for election duty apart from polling personnel who have applied Form 12 for issue of Postal Ballot to be physically present along with valid identity proof on February 20 at the Postal Ballot facilitation Centre, conference hall of Taxes Commissioner Office, Dimapur between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm to receive and cast their postal ballot. He further clarified that all postal ballot for the aforementioned employees will be issued/dispatched only at the designated location mentioned above and not through any other means.  

IT opens control room to monitor movement of large amount of cash

Kohima, February 15 (MExN): Chief Election Officer Nagaland, Abhijit Sinha IAS, in a press release has informed that the Directorate of Income Tax (Investigation) NER, Guwahati has opened a 24x7 Control Room and Complaint Monitoring Cell at Kohima, Nagaland. The CEO informed any information pertaining to black money and/or movement of large amount of cash/ valuables etc, during the Election Period which is likely to be used for bribing of electors may be informed to the above Cell in the following contacts: 1. TKK new officials

Kohima, February 15 (MExN): The Tenyidie Kephrünuoko Krotho (TKK) held a file hand-over programme on February 12 at Ura Academy Shüphrüki, Kohima. The new team of TKK will be led by Kikruneinuo Liezietsu as president and Vechivo Rhakho as the vice president for the tenure 2018-2020.  

Shamatore-Chessore ACCC dissolves

Tuensang, February 15 (MExN): The Assembly Constituency Congress Committee (ACCC) of 58 Shamatore-Chessore A/C has resolved to dissolve and merge with the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), according to a press release from 58 Shamatore-Chessore ACCC Secretary S. Ningshu and President A. Akhum.  The ACCC also resolved to support Toshi Wungtung, the official NDPP candidate from 58, Shamatore-Chessore A/C during the ensuing assembly election slated for February 27.  This is as per the earlier decision taken by the Congress party (INC) of 58, Shamatore-Chessore A/C along with all its frontal organizations and village unit officials representing 34 polling stations in Shamatore Town on August 3, 2017, the release stated.
