Nagaland govt notifies on tax exemption Kohima, February 24 (DIPR): The Government of Nagaland has notified that the following categories of goods will be exempted from the payment of entry tax: Heavy goods vehicles above 10 MT of payload; Heavy passenger vehicles above 35 seating capacity; and vehicles belonging to manufacturers that do not have authorized dealership in the State of Nagaland. This was notified by the Finance Department and shall come into effect from the date of commencement of the Nagaland Entry Tax Act, 2013, and may be withdrawn at any time.     LLIN distribution in Duncan Bosti Dimapur, February 24 (MExN): The Duncan Bosti Council has informed all the house owners of Duncan Bosti that distribution of Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLIN) for Duncan Bosti will be held on February 26, 9:00 am onwards at Duncan Community Hall.  

  Interactive session with MSME Minister on Feb 26 Kohima, February 24 (MExN): Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing an interactive session with the Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, Kalraj Mishra on February 26 at the conference hall of Chumukedima Police Complex from 4:00-5:00 pm. This will be followed by one to one meeting with the Minister on MSME related issues in Nagaland, informed CII-Nagaland Branch in a press release. CII has invited all the CII & YI members from Nagaland and interested entrepreneurs and associations, particularly from MSME sectors, to come and participate in the programme. Further, it informed that the maximum number of participants is being fixed at sixty only; therefore, all the interested entrepreneurs have been requested to confirm to the following mobile numbers: 9436012641/ 9862030230.     COPU NLA members informed Kohima, February 24 (MExN): Members of the Committee on Public Undertakings (COPU), Nagaland Legislative Assembly have been informed that the evidence meeting scheduled to be held on February 26 with the department representatives of Industries & Commerce for NHL and Department of Geology & Mining for NSMDC has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. Informing this in a press release, Additional Secretary NLA, K Sekhose has requested the members to take note of the postponement.     DDCC consultative meeting Dimapur, February 24 (MExN): A consultative meeting of Dimapur District Congress Committee will be held on February 27, 11:00 am at Congress Bhavan here. The meeting will be addressed by NPCC officials, according to a press release from Dimapur DCC Secretary, Khrozote Kapfo, which added that it is compulsory for all office bearers of village unit/ wards ACC office bearers, DCC office bearers, frontal and officials representing Dimapur district to NPCC, Youth Seva Dal, Minority and PCC members to attend the meeting. NLVDP cum industrial exhibition from today Dimapur, February 24 (MExN): Br. MSME Development Institute, Old Industrial Estate, Dimapur in association with Alaphra Group, Dimapur is organizing two days National Level Vendor Development Programme (NLVDP) cum Industrial Exhibition on February 25 and 26 at Super Market (near Hotel Saramati), Dimapur. The inaugural function will be held at 10:00 am on February 25, where Amenba Yaden, Parliamentary Secretary of Industries & Commerce, Govt. of Nagaland will be the chief guest. All have been invited to attend the inaugural function and visit the exhibition.     One dies in hospital; body unidentified Dimapur, February 24 (MExN): A non-Naga male, aged around 35-40 years, wearing black shirt and grey pants was admitted to the District Hospital, Dimapur on February 20. He died on the same day, a press release from PRO, Dimapur Police said. The dead body has not been claimed by any person and is yet to be identified. The body is kept in the morgue of the hospital. For more details, contact East Police Station, Dimapur, the PRO said.     UBCA church leaders’ seminar Dimapur, February 24 (MExN): The United Baptist Churches Association, North East India (UBCA-NEI) will conduct a one day church leadership seminar for pastors, women leaders, youth leaders and Sunday School supervisors on February 27 starting 7:30 am at UBC Thahekhu, Block 3 Dimapur. Rev. Dr. Phughoto Aye, Advisor, UBCA-NEI and Rev. YT Lotha, President, UBCA Council will be the resource persons of the seminar. Executive Secretary of the association Rev. Hevuto Awomi has informed all the church leaders under UBCA-NEI to attend the seminar.
