Excise personnel seize liquor
Dimapur, March 7 (MExN): Excise Mobile Squad personnel manning the New Field Excise Check Gate seized 405 bottles of assorted liquor on March 5 from the possession of one Kaka. A press release from Superintendent of Excise (Mobile Squad) informed that the accused has been booked under relevant section of the NLTP Act, 1989 and the seized articles kept in the Excise Malkhana. The Excise personnel were led by Inspector Lichumse Sangtam.
Minister Paiwang condoles
Kohima, March 7 (MExN): Minister for Transport, IT&C P Paiwang Konyak has expressed sadness at the sudden demise of Zenon Konyak, SDEO Mon, recently. Informing that Zenon was the first woman graduate from Konyak tribe, Paiwang said “her death has caused an irreparable loss not only to the family but the whole Konyak community.” The Minister further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to God to bestow strength to them.
MMC fixes rate of coffin
Mokokchung, March 7 (DIPR): Superintendent, Mokokchung Municipal Council, O. Pangjung Longkumer has informed that the rate of coffin in Mokokchung Town have been fixed as follows with immediate effect: Any designed coffin made of teak wood- Rs. 13,000; any designed coffin made of A class wood- Rs. 8,000; and any designed coffin made of ordinary wood- Rs. 4,000. Further, the MMC Superintendent informed all concerned that at least 3 (three) categories of coffins should be available at any time in the shops.
NSWON emergency assembly
Dimapur, March 7 (MExN): There will be an emergency assembly of the National Socialist Women’s Organization of Nagalim (NSWON) on March 19 at Council headquarters, Hebron from 9:00 am–3:00 pm. Therefore, all members have been requested to attend the Assembly positively. This was informed in a press release issued by Alungphy Muivah, Secretary, NSWON.
OCUWT general meeting on March 12
Wokha, March 7 (MExN): The Old Changsu Union Wokha Town (OCUWT) has convened a general meeting for the year 2016 on March 12 at 9:00 am at New Colony Community Hall, Wokha Town. Therefore, all the OCUWT members have been requested to attend the meeting positively.
