Free medical camp today
Kohima, March 15 (MExN): As part of National Urban Health Mission, office of the Urban Primary Health Centre, Seikhazou-Kohima will organize a free medical camp at Indoor Badminton Stadium, Bayavü, Kohima on March 16 from 10:00 am onwards. During the camp, general consultation along with medicines and drugs will be provided free of cost. In addition, free diagnostic tests like sugar, malaria, blood grouping, and hemoglobin will be undertaken during the camp. Public have been requested to avail the services during the camp.
Governor to release Nagamese film
Kohima, March 15 (DIPR): Governor of Nagaland and Assam PB Acharya will release a Nagamese film “Maiki Manu Dukh Laga Kahani – Part-2” at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan on March 16 at 11: 30 am. The film is produced and directed by Esther Bano. Esther is an upcoming film producer, director and actress in Nagamese films and has produced, directed and acted in a number of local and English short feature films.
DEOs, SDEOs informed
Kohima, March 15 (MExN): All the District Education Officers (DEOs) and Sub Divisional Education Officers (SDEOs) have been directed to select and depute two office assistants from each DEO office and one office assistant from each SDEO office to attend a one day training cum-interactive session scheduled to be held on March 23 at Zonal Council Hall, Kohima without fail. A press release from Senthang, Director, School Education, has requested the trainees to report to the training venue by 9:00 am.
HoDs under Mangkolemba to tour villages
Mokokchung, March 15 (DIPR): All the Head of Departments under Mangkolemba Sub Division will be visiting twelve villages under Longchem EAC Circle on March 17 and 18. In an official notification issued by ADC, Mangkolemba T. Imtiwapang Aier, all the officers have been directed to report at 6:30am on March 17 at Mangkolemba main junction. The tour programme was discussed and approved during the last SDPDB meeting held on March 5.
Meeting on 2015 GT Seniority list case
Kohima, March 15 (MExN): The convenors of Districts/ Sub-Divisions and schools who have been entrusted to oversee the collection of Court fees for GT entries vide 2015 GT seniority list published by Directorate of School Education have been informed that a meeting has been called to discuss the ongoing Court Case W.P (C) No.214 (K) 2015 on March 18, 11:00 am at LCS building here (Max Care Multispecialty Clinic top floor). Therefore, all the convenors have been directed to attend the meeting positively with all the collection details and to update the matter for future course of action. This was informed in a press release issued by Kekuolhouthie Dzüvichü, Convenor and Temjen Yapang, Secretary of 2015 GT Seniority list.
National Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Week
Kohima, March 15 (MExN): The Department of PHED will launch National Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Week on March 16 at 11:00 am at PHED conference hall, near Naga Solidarity Park, Kohima. PHED Minister Tokheho Yepthomi will grace the occasion as the chief guest.
Azo to grace CCLC session
Kohima, March 15 (MExN): The 5th general session of the Chokri Chakhesang Literature Committee will take place on Mach 17, 10:00 am at Zonal Council Hall, Kohima. MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu will grace the occasion as the chief guest. All Chokrimi pastors, VCCs and concerned members have been requested to attend the session.
Earth Hour on March 19
Kohima, March 15 (MExN): Earth Hour, a global initiative of WWF network will be observed on Saturday, March 19 from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm, to pledge to create awareness on responsible consumption of resources. Power Department on behalf of the State Government has requested all consumers/ customers to switch off non-essential lights and other electricity dependent gadgets in their homes during the one hour. This was informed by Er. G Chishi (D&R), Department of Power.
