Kohima Easter sunrise service Kohima, March 26 (MExN): The Kohima Easter sunrise service will be held on March 27, 5:00 am at World War II Cemetery. Chief Minister TR Zeliang will share greetings, while Rev. Dr. Atsi Dolie, Executive Director, Angami Baptist Church Council will be the speaker. The service will be led by Pastor Moba Konyak, Vice President, KBBF. All have been invited to attend the service.  

  Training on oil palm cultivation held in Wokha Wokha, March 26 (MExN): Department of Agriculture, Wokha conducted training on oil palm cultivation on March 22, which was chaired by Eyingo Tungoe, AO. District Agriculture Officer, Wokha C Peter Yanthan highlighted the programme and also spoke on the uses of oil palm, while resource person Mhathung Odyuo, AO gave a lucid explanation of the various cultivation practices and its management. This was followed by interaction, where the DAO and the resource person responded to the queries of the farmers. The programme concluded with vote thanks by Nzanbemo T Erui, AFA.     ZRSU meeting in Zunheboto Zunheboto, March 26 (MExN): Zunheboto Range Students’ Union (ZRSU) has convened a meeting on March 28, 1:00 pm at SKK conference hall in Zunheboto. Therefore, all executives and jubilee planning members have been requested to attend the meeting.     Training for PMEGP beneficiaries in Tuensang Dimapur, March 26 (MExN): Training on Entrepreneurship Development Programme for PMEGP beneficiaries (2014-2015) is being held in Tuensang. More than 100 participants are taking part in the programme, which was inaugurated on March 21 by T. Lipokwati Ao, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Tuensang at CKS Hall, near DC Complex, Tuensang. The training, conducted under the joint effort of Multidisciplinary Training Centre - Kuda Village (Nagarjan) Dimapur, NKVIB Tuensang District, DIC Tuensang and sponsored by Commission for Khadi and Village Industries, will end on March 29.     Chen Union Dimapur meeting Dimapur, March 26 (MExN): The Chen Union Dimapur (CUD) will hold its 20th executive meeting on March 27, 2:00 pm at its treasurer’s residence at Half-Nagarjan, Dimapur. A press release from CUD President, Chenlip has informed every registered household of the Union to depute at least one representative to attend the meeting without fail. It also informed every household member to contribute donation for the festive event to be held on April 2 by March 27. Registration for the new household will be open from March 27 – April 2. Meanwhile, every member has been requested to clear the membership fee of Rs.20/- for the year 2016 in the same period. Further all the individuals who are to contribute towards the fund for Chen Village, Dimapur have been requested to clear the balance and booking by March 30, 2016.     AR recover explosives; three arrested Dimapur, March 26 (MExN): 32 Assam Rifles along with police representatives recovered explosives from Kashiram Nepali Basti here on March 19 morning leading to the arrest of three persons. A press release from Assam Rifles informed that based on specific information regarding presence of “suspected persons” in Kashiram Nepali Basti, a searched was carried out by the AR troops along with police representatives. At around 5:00 am, the troops searched the house and recovered 11.875 kg explosives, 286 detonators and 265 metres of safety fuse wire which were kept hidden in the garden in three bags. The three persons were consequently arrested from the house. All three persons with the recoveries were handed over to West Police Station. The arrested persons have been identified as HT Vela, Josnalhmathuoi Pangamte, and Lalrochan Pangamte.   BJP State executive meeting Dimapur, March 26 (MExN): The BJP State executive meeting scheduled for March 29 in Kohima at 11:00 am will be held at Hotel De Oriental Grand. All the party executive members have been requested to be at the venue an hour before the meeting and get registered.     37 Assam Rifles apprehend cadre Dimapur, March 26 (MExN): 37 Assam Rifles apprehended one armed NSCN (IM) cadre during an operation at Ward No-1 of Chumukedima Town on March 22. A press release from AR informed that the operation was launched based on information regarding presence of an armed NSCN (IM) cadre and his probable indulgence in extortion/ arms peddling activities in the area of Chumukedima. One .22 Pistol, eight rounds of assorted live ammunition and one Kenwood Radio Set was recovered from the apprehended person identified as Kivipu Swu (33). The apprehended cadre along with recovered items was handed over to Diphupar Police Station.
