ANCSU appeals to power dept
Kohima, April 4 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has appealed to the Power Department to adopt all possible measures to provide uninterrupted power supply during the forthcoming End Semester degree examination. The union in a release also appealed to the general public, all responsible wards, colonies and town areas to control noise pollution (melas, concerts etc) during the course of the examination. It further wished all the students the very best in their exam.
State meet on technology
Kohima, April 4 (DIPR): A one day State meet on ‘Promoting use of Space Technology and Application in Governance & Development’ will be held on April 6 at the Capital Convention Center, Kohima. Parliamentary Secretary, Planning & Co-ordination, Neibu Kronu will grace the inaugural programme as the chief guest, while Chief Minister TR Zeliang will be the chief guest during the special session. Officials/ scientists from ISRO/NRSC, NESAC Department of Space, Government of India will be attending the meet.
Apparel & Garment Making Centre to be inaugurated today
Dimapur, April 4 (DIPR): Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Minister of State (Independent Charge) will inaugurate the Apparel & Garment Making Centre at 6th Mile, District Industries Centre Complex, Dimapur on April 5, 2016. The Minister will also lay foundation stone for Muga P3 Basic Seed Station Kobulong, Mokokchung and launch the newly approved Integrated Eri Silk Development Project under NERTPS for women empowerment and sustainable livelihood in Kohima district. This is the first Apparel & Garment Making Centre inaugurated and funded by the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India in the North East Region.
Appeal to claim body from hospital
Dimapur, April 4 (MExN): The man who was found in an unconscious state at New Market, near Dhobinala Police Point on April 1 as published in the local dailies on April 4 passed away this morning at 10:00 am at Dimapur Civil Hospital. Therefore, proprietor of JR Travels, who was one of the persons who took the man to the hospital, has requested anyone who has any knowledge about the man to come and claim the body urgently by April 5. KSON to tour Kuki villages
Dimapur, April 4 (MExN): The Kuki Students' Organisation, Nagaland (KSON) will start its tour to all Kuki villages of Ahthibung and Khelma areas from April 5. A press release from KSON officials informed that during the tour, the organization will visit schools and interact with teachers, GBs, Village Councils and youth and students' unions under KSON. Recently, a visit to Kuki villages of Molvom area was conducted, the release said. Informing the village authorities of Ahthibung and Khelma areas of its tour, the organization asked them to prepare for the same.
BJP Nagaland unit condoles
Dimapur, April 4 (MExN): The BJP Nagaland unit has condoled the demise of Saluvi Shohe, retired RTO, father of BJP State Executive Member, Kupoto Shohe (Atobu) on April 3. The party prayed for strength of the bereaved family members at this time of grief and that the departed soul rest in peace.
