ZSU career guidance today Zhavame, April 22 (MExN): Zhavame Students’ Union (ZSU) is organizing a career guidance seminar on April 23, 10:00 am at LCS Building, Kohima. Therefore, the union has informed all the students of Zhavame to attend the seminar positively.     CSD meeting on April 23 Dimapur, April 22 (MExN): President Consumer Society Dimapur Vinoka Aye has called for an executive meeting in the office on April 23 at 11:00 am. All the office bearers and executive members have been asked to attend the meeting without fail.  

  Seminar on socio-economic uplift of Wakching Dimapur, April 22 (MExN): A two-day seminar on “Socio-economic upliftment of Wakching” will be held on April 23 and 24 at Wakching Village Baptist Church in Mon district. Resource persons will discourse on various topics like ‘Vision for the economic condition of Wakching beyond 2019’, ‘Substitution of jhuming by horticulture and cash crops’, ‘Identification of viable crops under prevailing condition for economic upliftment’, ‘Resources for generating self-employment’ and “Importance of cleanliness & hygienic habits.’ Parliamentary Secretary for CAWD, YM Yollow and former minister, MC Konyak, will also address the seminar.     Natha New Council refutes Kohima, April 22 (MExN): The Natha New Village Council (NNVC) has refuted a report published in local daily, where a person named Mhathung Zhimo claimed to be a citizen of New Natha village. The Council clarified that the person is not a bonafide citizen of Natha New and therefore requested the authorities not to be misled by such false information.     Text books to be issued in Dimapur Dimapur, April 22 (MExN): Sub-Divisional Education Officer, Dimapur T. Kiyelu Yepthomi in a press note has informed that the last phase of free text book under SDEO Dimapur will be issued on April 26 and 27 under respective EBRC Block. He directed all the Head of GPS/GMS/GHS to bring respective school seal and collect the free text books block-wise as mentioned.     PGN renamed People's Republic of Nagaland Dimapur, April 22 (MExN): The People's Government of Nagaland has been renamed People's Republic of Nagaland (PRN) with effect from April 20, 2016. The nomenclature change has been made as per the recommendation of the regional authorities and the approval of the Central Executive Council (approved/file-01/sl-2/16) of Naga National Council on March 15, 2016, informed a press release from MIP, PRN. Meanwhile, the PRN has directed the assignees to submit previous documents for re-issue. Business owners have been directed to contact #7085994092 for necessary information. It further warned that anyone found collecting tax without authorization shall be dealt with as per the yezahbo.     STSU on power failure Tuensang, April 22 (MExN): The Shamator Town Students’ Union (STSU) today informed the Sub-Divisional Officer (Electrical) Shamator, Tuensang that the public of Shamator sub-division is facing severe problem due to power failure. “Students are the worst sufferer as they are compelled to prepare for their exams without electricity. Owing to power irregularity, we are again compelled to purchase candles to light our homes which had directly increased the dangers of burning houses,” STSU president Thsantong stated in the appeal addressed to the SDO (E) Shamator. Therefore, the union requested the authority concerned to look into the inconveniences which the people of the sub-division are facing.
