DPC general meeting cum election today Dimapur, April 28 (MExN): Dimapur Press Club (DPC) will hold its general meeting cum election of office bearers for the next tenure on April 29, 11:00 am at the Press Point, Super Market. All registered members have been requested to attend the meeting.     ANSTA Zunheboto informs Zunheboto, April 28 (MExN): The All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA), Zunheboto unit has convened an urgent emergency meeting on May 2 at its banker’s residence at Project colony, Zunheboto. Therefore, all office bearers and area executives have been informed to attend the meeting.  

  Forest official attacked in Jalukie; village council condemns Jalukie, April 28 (MExN): The Old Jalukie Village Council has condemned the physical attack on Kenlumtatei, Officer In-charge, Intangki National Park while he was on official duty along with his staff on April 28. While alleging that the attackers were from another village, the Old Jalukie Village Council chairman, Hainkieng Hiekha in a press release stated that the officer and his staff were attacked with “lathis and dao” for no reason. The officer and staff, he stated were injured and are being treated in CHC Jalukie. The village council has requested the Government authorities concerned to urgently book the accused and deliver justice. The village council has further requested the concerned Forest Department to give proper protection to its officials and staff.     NSCN (IM) terminates one Dimapur, April 28 (MExN): NSCN (IM) has terminated O Chingmei, PRO Phom Region, from active national service since February 24, 2016 vides memo no. GPRN/KK/ESTT/73/16/10 “due to his violent activities antagonist to national interest and discipline.” This was informed in a press release issued by MIP, NSCN (IM).     Awareness prog on domestic violence against women Dimapur, April 28 (MExN): The Nagaland State Commission for Women in collaboration with the Diphuphar Naga Women Organisation is organising legal awareness programme on domestic violence against women at Old Ao Church building Diphuphar 'A', Dimapur on April 30 at 10:00 am. All concerned members of tribal women units, public leaders, church members, NGOs under the administrative jurisdiction of Diphuphar, Dimapur have been requested to attend the programme.     UCEAN informs Kohima, April 28 (MExN): The Unemployed Civil Engineers' Association of Nagaland (UCEAN) has informed that the sealed question paper of CTE-2015 Civil Engineering Degree paper-II which was postponed from June 22, 2015 to July 21, 2015 has been opened. It was opened on April 27 in the presence of NPSC Chairman, Secretary, Controller of Examination, and Magistrate EAC at NPSC Office, Kohima, informed a press release from UCEAN President, Akishe S Jimomi and General Secretary, Rokosielie Kehie. The said question paper will be uploaded on social media and any members who want a copy may contact UCEAN President at 7085572183, the release added.
