111 RMSA candidates  get appointment order KOHIMA, MAY 3 (MExN): The RMSA phase 2 & 3 candidates on Tuesday called off its protest on receiving appointment order. The Nagaland Government today issued appointment order to 111 RMSA Phase 2 & 3 candidates. Meanwhile, the candidates thanked Minister for School Education & SCERT, Yitachu for his concern and various NGOs for extending support towards their cause.     NCSU resolves to stop Dmr-Kma 4-lane project Kohima, MAY 3 (MExN): The Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers Union (NCSU) today resolved to “ban” the proposed 4-laning of the Dimapur-Kohima highway. The NCSU, in a press release, stated that it will disallow construction unless the firm – Maytas & Gayatri (JV) completes other pending road projects awarded to it in Nagaland under the SARDP. In this regard, it directed the NCSU’s district units to “control the local contractors in their own jurisdiction.” Stating that the decision was arrived at a meeting held on May 3, it said that it was dissatisfied with the firm’s handling of the 332 km 2-lane project amounting to Rs. 1132 crore under the Special Accelerated Road Development Project (SARDP).  

  NNC/FGN Chakhesang Region cautions Phek, May 3 (MExN): In the interest of the general public, the NNC/FGN Chakhesang Region has cautioned all the Head of Departments, contractors, and business establishments based in Phek district not to advance any financial contribution/donation to any individual without first ascertaining their authenticity. A press release from Vepozo Chüzho, Midan Peyu, NNC/FGN Chakhesang Region further informed that, as has been exercised in earlier times, the Region will continue to enforce restriction of entry or indulgence in trade of proscribed drugs, alcohol or any abusive substance within the jurisdiction.     Sumi national workers condole Dimapur, May 3 (MExN): The Sumi national workers have expressed sadness over the sudden demise of fellow national worker, Hukaito Zhimo, Deputy Secretary, Kilo Affairs, GPRN, at Zion Hospital, Dimapur on May 3. A condolence message from Qhetoyi Swu, Secretary, Sumi National Workers’ Welfare, NSCN (IM) stated that late Hukaito Zhimo was “a man of principle, humble and straight forward, who always stood for the rights of others.” Stating that the Sumi national workers have lost a young and dynamic officer, the note prayed that God grant comfort and solace to the bereaved family members at this time of grief and also prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.     Two arrested in Dimapur Dimapur, May 3 (MExN): The Dimapur Police seized around 821 cases of illegal IMFL worth several lakhs of rupees based on specific inputs on May 2. The consignment was found loaded in a truck parked along the NH-2 near 2.5 Mile area, informed a press release from PRO, Dimapur Police. A case has been registered for necessary investigation in this regard. Meanwhile, personnel of the E/15 NAP(IR) Mahila Bn under East Police Station apprehended two persons while “extorting” money from auto rickshaws at Super Market area in the name of GPRN/NSCN on May 3. Informing that incriminating documents and cash were seized from their possession, the PRO said the arrested have been identified as Kino Chophy and Kiyeto Labo.
