
RWUK condemns Kohima, May 16 (MExN): Rongmei Women Union Kohima (RWUK) has condemned the molestation, rape and murder attempt of a girl student on May 12 in Meriema by one accused identified as Neitsu Angami. A condemnation note from RWUK President, Gaisinmei Jennifer Kamei and Publicity Secretary, Gracy Gonmei stated that the “incident has deeply traumatized the victim and greatly affected her physical and mental health, especially creating a fear psychosis in her.” The Union further demanded that the law enforcing agencies and authorities concerned should award befitting punishment to the accused and see that he is not bailed out under any circumstances. (Retd) Tadingpou Gangmei, Tatar of Zeliad (ZLR) Region on May15.
