RSU appeal for immediate restoration of power supply Tseminyu, May 17 (MExN): The Rengma Students’ Union (RSU) has asked the power department for immediate restoration of power supply in Kandinu area without further delay. RSU President RN David Magh and General Secretary Kegwalo Kemp in a press release questioned how the department could turn a deaf ear and remain silent spectator when appeals were made. They also asked why there was no power supply in 10 villages under Tseminyu sub-division and Pughoboto sub-division for nearly two months starting March 24. AR apprehend NSCN (IM) cadre Dimapur, May 17 (MExN): Troops of 32 Assam Rifles apprehended a cadre of NSCN (IM) with illegal arms and ammunition at Borlengrijan village on May 10. A press release from Assam Rifles informed that the arrested person identified as Benthungo Lotha was in possession of an illegal 7.65mm Pistol and 05 live rounds. The individual stated he was appointed as Assistant Section Officer in NSCN (IM), the release added. The accused along with the recovered arms and ammunition was later handed over to Khatkhati Police Station for further investigation.
