Business establishments in Dimapur informed Dimapur, June 1 (MExN): All business establishments in Dimapur are informed that World Environment Day would be observed on June 4 (Saturday). Therefore, all business establishments in Dimapur are directed to observe the Day by cleaning inside and outside their business premises for 2 hours from 6:00 am to 8:00 am on Saturday. DCCI President Hokivi Chishi further directed that no business establishments would be open before 8:00 am on the day in view of the social work. The DCCI requests the public to cooperate with the business community in this regard. DCCI informs on bio-degradable plastics Dimapur, June 1 (MExN): In regard to the ban order issued by the Dimapur Municipal Council on the use of non-biodegradable carry bags and enforcement of bio-degradable plastics, the DCCI directs all business establishments in Dimapur to comply with the order. Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industry President Hokivi Chishi in a press release informed that in the event of the responsible authorities conducting surprise checking and imposing penalties against the defaulters, the DCCI will not be responsible in any manner whatsoever. Therefore, those business establishments that are still using non-biodegradable carry bags are directed to immediately stop its usage complying with the DMC order in the interest of clean environment. ZBCD Youth Dept honour students Dimapur, June 1 (MExN): The Youth Department of Zeliangrong Baptist Church Dimapur (ZBCD) conducted a felicitation programme for the successful students of class 10, 12 and B.th and M.Div on May 29. The programme started with a prayer by Asst. Pastor Dinggailung Panmei, followed with exhortation by R. James Gonmei, Y/Advisor, and certificate presentation by Wilungbo Chawang, Y/Director. SSP records 100% pass percentage Peren, June 1 (MExN): Sainik School Punglwa recorded 100% pass percentage in the CBSE Class X examination 2016. All 93 students, who appeared in the examination, “passed with flying colours,” according to a press release from the school. 95% of the school cadets scoring first division; two of them scored a complete 10 CGPA and four others scored 9 CGPA and above. “Cadet Punyo Rika and Cadet Mari Riba made the school proud with a score of 10 CGPA,” the release said. Earlier, the school also celebrated its students’ impressive performance in Class XII results. Cadet Menangchang secured a commendable overall percentage of 85.4% with PCMB and is the school topper. UT-1 NNC denounces Kohima, June 1 (MExN): The Union Territory-1 of NNC Parent Body has denounced Kiumukam Yimchungrü accusing him of creating “division and confusion” all the time at the UT-1 area with few members after getting expelled from NNC Parent Body. A press release from H Sumi, Chairman, UT-1, NNC Parent Body stated that Kiumukam should not be supported by anybody, but condemned in toto. “Instead of doing something good for the people, he (Kiumukam) is real trouble maker spreading confusion, disunity, hatred in the Naga society,” the release alleged. It further said that he formed the ‘Government Democratic Republic of Nagaland’ without constitution with a few members.
