Governor extends Ramadan greetings KOHIMA, JUNE 9 (MExN): Governor of Nagaland and Assam, PB Acharya today greeted the Muslim community and people of the state on the beginning of Ramadan and said it is a time for contemplation, reflection, acts of kindness and charity. It is also an opportunity for families and friends to come together, and to promote goodwill and harmony in the wider community, the Governor said in his message. As the holy occasion of Ramadan is here and the atmosphere is filled with the spirit of mirth and love, he added. “May this Ramadan bring you the utmost in peace, joy and prosperity.”  

  KBSU invites Kohima, June 9 (MExN): The Khulazu Basa Students' Union (KBSU) invites its student members to contribute articles for the forth coming 60th year Anniversary Souvenir. Venesalü Keyho (8119019536/8575809489) before the end of August.     Power supply to be affected in Peren dist Dimapur, June 9 (MExN): The power supply to Peren District will be affected from 6am to 1pm on June 11. The Executive Engineer (E), Peren Division N Myingthungo Ngullie in a press note informed that a shutdown of power supply will be undertaken for jungle clearance along the main 33KV Sub-Transmission line from Ngwalwa Town to Peren Town and maintenance work at Power Sub-Station at Jalukie Town and Peren Town respectively on that day. The department has requested the consumer to bear with the inconveniences.
