ZDVDBA urges govt to release DRDA salaries Zunheboto, June 11 (MExN): The Zunheboto District VDB Association (ZDVDBA) today stated that the refusal by DRDA staff to entertain any VDB related work due to pen down strike is directly affecting rural people and hampering normal functioning of VDB schemes, both State and Centrally Sponsored Scheme. Therefore, a press release from ZDVDBA General Secretary, Kahuto Awomi and Vice President, Vikato M. Swu has urged the State Government to take the matter positively and release the salaries of the DRDA employees at the earliest.     NPF 60 A/C Pungro-Kiphire vows Kiphire, June 11 (MExN): The NPF of 60 A/C Pungro-Kiphire has vowed to stand firm under the leadership of TR Zeliang, Chief Minister and Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu, President, NPF Central, and C Kipili Sangtam, Minister for Power and in-charge of NPF, Kiphire division. The pledge was made on June 8 during the dedication programme of RL Akamba, former MLA, as treasurer of the NPF, 60 A/C Pungro-Kiphire, informed a press release from President, NPF, 60 A/C Pungro-Kiphire. The NPF divisional President, P Lipongkyu deliberated for smooth functioning and strengthening of the party. Meanwhile, other party officials encouraged the party to unite for the next election.  

  New officials of SNUNS Dimapur, June 11 (MExN): A new team of officials of South Nagas Union of Nagaland State (SNUNS) has been formed on June 11 for a term of 3 years (2016- 2018). The new office bearers are: President - Joe Ngamkhuchung; Vice Presidents - PK Sou and M Ninglan; General Secretary - LK Peter; Joint secretary - Kohli Anthony; Treasurer - RK Alex; Advisors - Kasar Thankhul, A Lolly Moses Mao, and G Gaingam. According to a press release from General Secretary, LK Peter, the remaining posts will be filled later on. Handing over will take place on June 18 in Dimapur.
