Land owners along NH-29 informed Dimapur, June 16 (MExN): All concerned landowners and other governmental or non-governmental agencies whose land and properties have been acquired for the extension of 4-lane NH 29 from Patkai/Chumukedima bridge to Piphema village under Dimapur district have been informed to clear or remove any buildings, plantations, fisheries or any other structures on the compensated area within one month. Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Kesonyu Yhome (IAS) in public notification said that the exercise is being undertaken to allow the commencement of 4-lane work along the NH-29. The notice is for strict compliance and all concerned entities have been informed to extend full cooperation to the executing team for smooth implementation of the 4-lane NH-29 project, the notification added.     KPC condoles Kohima, June 16 (MExN): The Kohima Press Club (KPC) has expressed shock over the sudden demise of a senior newspaper hawker based in Kohima town, Raj Kumar Sah, on June 15 after suffering a stroke while on duty. The KPC conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and offered prayers for the departed soul to rest in peace.  

  SRSU informs govt officials and contractors Dimapur, June 16 (MExN): The Suruhoto Range Students’ Union has informed all the government officials under its jurisdiction to discharge their duties sincerely and efficiently. A press note from SRSU President Hinoto Chophy and General Secretary Tonoka Ayemi further cautioned contractors working under its jurisdiction that the union will conduct regular and surprise inspection to ensure that they execute their works as per the government’s specification. The union will initiate its own course of action against any erring government officials or contractors, it warned. Meanwhile, SRSU informed all its constituent units to attend its first assembly scheduled to be held on July 2 from 10:00 am at its office headquarter at Suruhoto Town.
