
NHRA appeals for delivery of justice Dimapur, June 17 (MExN): The Nagaland Hotel & Restaurant Association (NHRA) has made an appeal to the custodians of law for a successful prosecution and delivery of justice without fear, favor or any further delay in justice in the murder case of late Ritika Mehta, proprietor of Apna Hotel. NHRA appealed to the law enforcing agencies and the judiciary to give befitting punishment to the culprit to set an example to others that “hiring killers will not be allowed in our society and we should not allow any such crime.” Meanwhile, the Association lauded the Dimapur Police SIT (Special Investigation Team) for the efficient investigation into the case, followed by the arrest of four people in connection to the crime and filing charges against them. Excise personnel seize drugs Dimapur, June 17 (MExN): The Excise (Narcotic Cell) personnel raided a house at Razuphe village here and recovered drugs on June 14. 420 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon and 50 tablets of Nitrosun were recovered from the possession of the resident of the house, Bishwajit Guha (38), a press release from Dy Commissioner of Excise (NC), Visedelie Mepfuo informed. The accused was arrested and forwarded to judicial custody and booked under relevant section of Drugs & Cosmetic Act 1940. The raid was led by AIE Tiameren along with AIE Nokcha and Hetovi, Shikaho, both constables of Excise. AR recover arms, ammunition Tuensang, June 17 (MExN): 5 Assam Rifles recovered arms and ammunition from the residence of suspected NSCN (R) cadre during a search operation carried out along with police representative in Old Mangaki Village, Tuensang district on May 30. A press release from Assam Rifles informed that one 9mm Carbine with magazine, one .22 Rifle with magazine, two radio sets, one hand grenade, three non-electronic detonators, and other “incriminating documents” were recovered from the house of the suspected cadre identified as V Akum Sangtam.
