Businesses to function normally today: DCCI DIMAPUR, JULY 1 (MExN): The Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI) has informed that there will be no closure of business establishments in Dimapur on July 2 and all businesses will function normally. A press note from the DCCI further informed that it had not issued any directive nor appealed for business closure on July 1 which had hampered normal life of the public. “For further information, public can contact 9436004447/9089617896,” the DCCI informed.     KUM appeals for early finding into student’s death Mokokchung, July 1 (MExN): The Khiamniungan Union Mokokchung (MUK) has appealed to the Mokokchung district Police authority for early result in the case of the death of late Ledang, who was found dead in Dilong ward on June 26, 2016. A press release from KUM President, K Sangsa and General Secretary, T. Shingnyoh mentioned that Ledang was found dead on the road in Dilong ward, Mokokchung with several wounds on his body and spinal cord severely fractured. The deceased was a class 5 student in Salangtem Govt. Primary School Mokokchung. The union further appealed to the authority concerned to carry out effective investigation to trace the cause of the death at the earliest. The union also assured that it will give its full cooperation during the period of investigation.     Committee visits landslide area in Noklak Noklak, July 1 (DIPR): The Kiam Landslide Committee of Noklak on June 26 visited the areas adversely affected by landslide led by its Chairman, K. Langkhio. The committee informed that 22.575 Sq.m area of land has been destroyed affecting around 600 residential buildings/ houses, including government and private properties/schools. Above 40 residents have been shifted from the landslide damaged areas. The committee urged the Government to support the affected people.  

  Hukavi Zhimomi condoles Kohima, July 1 (MExN): Parliamentary Secretary for Jails, Science & Technology, S Hukavi Zhimomi has expressed pain and sorrow at the death of Visheli, wife of late Ikhevi, founder and proprietor of Seven Home School, Zunheboto on June 28. In a condolence message, Hukavi mentioned that late Visheli was God fearing and religious and also a woman of word who always stood uprightly for the uplift of the society. “She is also a prominent mother of Zunheboto who had contributed lots in many fields,” Hukavi said. On behalf of his family and people of Zunheboto, the Parliamentary Secretary further conveyed deepest sympathy and condolence to the bereaved family members.     CPO and CGO meet deferred Kohima, July 1 (DIPR): SDO (C) Phek, Nukutulu S. Venuh has informed that the Chakhesang Public Organisation functionaries’ meeting with the Chakhesang Gazetted Officers, which was scheduled on July 2, 2016 in the conference hall of DPDB at 11:00 am, has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. Therefore, all concerned officers have been requested to take note of it.
