District Admin, NHAK, AYO joint meeting held Kohima, September 15 (DIPR): A joint meeting between the Kohima District Administration along with Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) and Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) was held at the Office chamber of ADC Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi on September 15. The meeting was held in regard to the news item regarding the sale of expired medicine which appeared in a local daily on Thursday. Based on the incident reported and deliberation, the District Administration directed the NHAK authority to detail and assign a qualified staff to check and segregate the expired medicine. The NHAK authority was also informed that it is mandatory to mention batch number and expiry date of medicines in receipt memos. Meanwhile, the District Administration expressed appreciation at the AYO for the concern shown towards the welfare of the public.     Auto-drivers asked to register Dimapur, September 15 (MExN): The Dimapur District Autorickshaw Drivers’ Union (DDADU) has informed all genuine auto drivers of DDADU to register their names for the process of obtaining their union Identity Cards and uniforms from the DDADY Head Office, Super Market, Dimapur. Documents required for obtaining union ID cards and uniforms are: Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC), two passport-sized photographs, and Driving Licence.     Chumu Inter School Meet from Sep 30 Dimapur, September 15 (MExN): The Chumukedima Town Students' Union (CTSU) will be organising Inter School Meet 2016 on September 30 and October 1. In this regard, a press release from the CTSU has requested all the educational institutes of Chumukedima Town area to allow their students to participate in the said meet. Events for Inter School Meet 2016 include: 1) Choir - Both High School & Higher Secondary; 2) Dance - Both High School & Higher Secondary; 3) Solo or Duet - Open.     IGNOU Induction Programme on Sep 18 Kohima, September 15 (MExN): The IGNOU Induction Programme for freshly enrolled learners of BPP, Certificate, Diploma, Bachelors and Master Degree Programmes for July 2016 Session at Study Centres 2002, Dimapur Govt. College will be conducted on Sunday , September 18 at 10:00 am at Dimapur Govt. College, Dimapur. A press release from the Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre-20, has informed all learners registered at the above mentioned IGNOU Study Centre to personally attend the Induction Programme. College.     TAWWS organises seminar on women's role Phek, September 15 (MExN): The Tizu Area Women Welfare Society (TAWWS) organised a seminar on "Women's role in the contemporary context" at Jerico-I Hall Phek town on September 9 last. The resource persons included: Runole Chotso, Rtd Registrar SCERT Nagaland; Zecheteu, Programme Coordinator CWWS; and Nezolu Cluster, Coordinator CWWS. The resource persons dwelt on women's role in the educational system at par with the rest of others and women's role in livelihood mission in the contemporary context with special reference to Tizu area. Earlier, Wekhrou delivered keynote address. Around 100 members attended the seminar.     Zbto District Welfare Officer informs Zunheboto, September 15 (MExN): All the disabled/blind/scholarship beneficiaries under State Scheme (not IGNDPS), Zunheboto District are informed that payment for the year 2015-2016 will be made from September 22 to 30, 2016 from the Office of the District Welfare Officer, Zunheboto during office hours. Zunheboto District Welfare Officer S. Wati Ozukum in a press release has requested all the beneficiaries to collect payment within the stipulated tie by producing live certificate issued by respective Village Council/Ward Chairman along with Xerox copy of Aadhaar Card.
