AR ‘unearth’ arms, ammunition from VDB office Mokokchung, September 27 (MExN): 44 Assam Rifles “unearthed a huge cache of arms and ammunitions” from the VDB office of Wamukan village in Mokokchung district in the wee hours of September 26, according to a press release from Assam Rifles. The arms consignment consisted of AK-56 assault rifle, 7.62 mm self loading rifle, Chinese and American made carbines along with 338 rounds of various caliber and “other war like stores,” the press release said. The arms and ammunitions were found hidden under the ceiling of the VDB office, it alleged. SDEO Zunheboto informs Zunheboto, September 27 (MExN): Sub Divisional Education Officer (SDEO), Zunheboto has informed all the Head Teachers and Teachers I/C to collect Aadhaar number and bank account number from all the teaching and non-teaching staffs under their schools and submit to the SDEO office, Zunheboto on or before November 20. Failing to do so, the SDEO said, the person’s “pay shall be dropped”.
