Kiyeto & Dhansiripar councils inform
Dimapur, March 16 (MExN): The village councils of Kiyeto and Dhansiripar have informed that the two councils had a joint meeting on March 15 at Dhansiripar Community Hall regarding the “vandalism act” committed by some “unruly youths” from Kiyeto village on March 13 in Dhansiripar village and “resolved the issue amicably in the spirit of forgive and forget with the consent of the aggrieved person.” Hence, the councils in a joint statement issued by respective chairmen, Honito Sumi (Kiyeto village) and Joydhwaj Hasnu (Dhansiripar village) warned “any individual or group to desist from unnecessary interference, which may vitiate the cordial relationship between the two villages.”
AR apprehend 1 with weapons
Dimapur, March 16 (MExN): Dimapur battalion of Assam Rifles apprehended one person with “illegal weapons” during an operation conducted along with police representative in Pimla village of Dimapur on March 15. A press release from HQ IGAR (N) stated that the weapons included one .22 rifle with magazine, 27 live rounds of .22 rifle, 8 FCC .22 rifle, 3 FCC 12 bore rifle, and around 100 gram of explosive. The apprehended person has been identified as Vighoto Kiba (27). He along with the recovered items was handed over to Chumukedima Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation, it added.

BJMM happy over party’s success
Dimapur, March 16 (MExN): The State Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha (BJMM) monthly meeting was held on March 16 at Tourist Lodge, Dimapur. The State BJMM led by President Sanuo Ngullie expressed happiness at the success of the party in the recently concluded general election. At the same time, it expressed appreciation to party leaders for giving in-charge of six Assembly Constituencies to women in the party, out of which five candidates of the constituencies won, said a press release from the BJMM president. The State BJMM also congratulated all the successful BJP candidates and looked forward to able leadership and progress in the future.
NPF offers condolences
Kohima, March 16 (MExN): The President of Naga People’s Front (NPF), Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu, his team of Central Office Bearers, and rank & file of the party have expressed grief over the demise of MLA Dr Chumben Murry’s mother, Mhonsali Murry last evening. “A mother is irreplaceable and the loss of one’s mother is most tragic and excruciatingly painful, and we empathize with your emotional distress at this hour of grief,” NPF Press Bureau stated in a condolence message to the MLA. “The fact that she had raised such an illustrious son as you – highly educated, extremely successful in your political career – speaks volumes of the character that your late mother possessed. Those who knew her speak highly of the warm and loving person that she was,” it added. NPF further described the deceased as God-fearing, hard working, caring, and generous. The party conveyed condolences to the family and prayed for solace and comfort upon them.
