
P&AR clarifies on ST/II/BT certificates Kohima, November 23 (DIPR): The Department of P&AR in a clarification has informed that ST/II/BT certificates are to be signed only by officers in the rank of Additional Deputy Commissioner and above. This is in compliance with the Home Department's Memorandum NO.HOME/SCTA-6/2006 dt. 21.03.2011 and P&AR Department O.M dt 15.10.2008. Therefore, all the candidates who had applied to the CESE-2016 advertised vide No.NPSC-1/2016 dated 20.06.2016 are to submit the proper ST/II/BT certificates signed by the competent authority on or before November 28, 2016. The application of the candidates failing to do so shall be summarily rejected. Edu dept cancels permit for B.Ed training at Isaac Newton School centre Kohima, November 23 (DIPR): The Department of School Education in a corrigendum has informed all in service candidates undertaking/undertaken B.Ed course from Dr. C.V. Raman University with study centre at Isaac Newton School, Dimapur that the permission order issued earlier stands cancelled till further notice as the mentioned study centre has not obtained any Government approval which is against UGC norms. Therefore, all candidates have been directed to apply in fresh to undergo B.Ed studies. AZSU (AMN) mourns Dimapur, November 23 (MExN): All Zeliangrong Students' Union (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) has expressed shock over the sudden demise of Barnabe Pame on November 21 at Laisong Village in Dima Hasao, Assam. Barnabe, who hailed from N. Longkhai Village in Dima Hasao, was holding the post of president, Zeliangrong Students' Union Assam. A condolence message from AZSU (AMN) president, Nchaheing Kompoing remembered the deceased as an energetic, dedicated and visionary young student leader who had rendered his best for the welfare and integrity of the Zeliangrong people in general and students' community in particular. “In his untimely demise, a vacuum has created which will be difficult to fill,” it added. Marathon race held in Mangkolemba Mangkolemba, November 23 (DIPR): In commemoration of the completion of 25 years since Mangkolemba ADC Headquarters was established, Mangkolemba Adhoc Town Committee and all Ward Councils, Mangkolemba organized a marathon race, in which 93 men and 32 women participated. Under the men’s category, the first prize was bagged by Chubawati with a cash award of Rs. 10,000, while the second prize was bagged by Lakhi with a cash prize of Rs. 6,000 and the third was won by Limayapang with a cash prize of Rs. 4000. The first prize in women’s category went to Toshirenla with a cash prize of Rs. 5000, while the second went to Tiajungla with cash prize of Rs. 3000, and the third to Chubainla with cash prize of Rs. 2000. PHH & AAY food grain distribution Kohima, November 23 (MExN): Assistant Director of Food & Civil Supplies, Kohima has informed all the Fair Price Shops (FPS)/village councils of Kohima centre that the PHH & AAY food grains will be released from November 28 onwards from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The distribution will be done according to the following schedule: Kohima Town FPS – November 28 & 29; Sadar villages & Secu circle villages – November 30, Kezocha circle villages – December 2; Jakha circle villages – December 5. All FPS/village councils concerned have been directed to collect their respective quota according to the schedule.
