Finance Dept appeals DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 25 (DIPR): The Nagaland State Finance Department has appealed to all religious institutions in the State of Nagaland that receive offerings, donations or contributions in smaller legal denominations to deposit the currency held by them to their respective bank accounts without retaining them, so that the currency notes are put back into circulation for the benefit of the general public. Following the withdrawal of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes, there has been a huge increase in the demand for smaller denominations from the general public. Despite regular supplies of currency from the Reserve Bank of India to the bank branches, there continues to be a huge gap between the demand for notes of smaller denominations and available supply, the Finance Department informed.     DDADU warns against drinking and driving Dimapur, November 25 (MExN): Dimapur District Autorickshaw Drivers’ Union (DDADU) has warned all the auto drivers that necessary action will be taken against any driver found driving under the influence of alcohol during checking by the union.
