
Night curfew reinforced in Sivsagar bordering Nagaland
DIMAPUR, MARCH 8 (MExN): Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Sivasagar, Assam has reinforced night curfew from 6:00pm to 6:00am in the 5 km belt in Assam side of Sivasagar district bordering Nagaland state with effect from January 22 for a period of 60 days. ADM, Sivasagar in an order said night curfew has been imposed as a precautionary measure to prevent occurrence of anti-social elements/extremist/unlawful activities coming across the Assam/Nagaland border in the belt of Sivasagar district. ADM, Sivasagar said movement of any person/ group of persons/any vehicular trafficsare prohibited during the period of night curfew. However, Magistrate, Security personnel of army/CRPF/Police and civilofficials deployed on duty are exempted from the purview of the prohibitory order.
NLCF cum thanksgiving service
Kohima, March 8 (MExN): Nagaland Legislators’ Christian Fellowship (NLCF) cum Thanksgiving service will be held on March 10, 11 am at the State Banquet Hall to mark the completion of one year of PDA Government. The service will be chaired by H Moba Konyak, Pastor, Konyak Baptist Church, Kohima. Reverend Keviyiekielie Linyu, Pastor, Ebenezer Baptist Church, Kohima will be the main speaker. On the occasion Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and PDA Chairman, Chingwang Konyak will greet the congregation. Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton, Minister G Kaito, Tongpang Ozukum and L Khumo, Advisor will also address the congregation. Chief Secretary Temjen Toy informed all the Administrative Heads of Department (AHoD) and Heads of Department (HoD) to attend the service along with their families.
IPPI 2019 this Sunday in Dimapur
Dimapur, March 8 (MExN): Along with the rest of the country, Dimapur district will be organizing Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) 2019 on March 10. IPPI Sunday 2019 will be targeting a total of 53,167 of children between the ages of 0-5 years. 519 Polio Booths will be set up across the district with 2048 team members, 102 Supervisors, and mobile teams to visit hard to reach areas. Two to three days House-to-House visits will also be carried out to immunize children who were missed on IPPI Sunday. Dr Rebecca Y Sema, District Programme Officer, RCH-UIP Dimapur in a press release has requested the general public to get their children between the said age group immunized during the IPPI Round in the nearest Polio Booths. The Village Councils, Colony/Ward Leaders, Churches, AWWs, ASHAs, and NGOs are requested to mobilize the public.

Kohima, March 8 (MExN): Rashtirya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), a child health screening programme under National Health Mission, Nagaland in collaboration with Shija Hospitals and Research Institute, Imphal will be organising a free heart disease detection camp at Naga Hospital, Kohima on March 15 for children between the age group of 0-18 years of age. Dr Kevichusa Medikhru, Mission Director (NHM) in a press release has informed that children within the age group of 0-18 years of age detected with heart diseases will be referred to Shija Hospitals and Research Institute Imphal for treatment and management. These children will be provided with financial assistance under the RBSK programme as per its model costing. In this regard, all interested citizens are requested to avail the opportunity.
WCH general session
Dimapur, March 8 (MExN): Western Chakhesang Hoho (WCH) has convened a general session on March 9, 10:00 am in the WCH Conference Hall, Chakhesang Colony Dimapur. DC Dimapur Kevekha Kevin Zehol will be the Guest Speaker. Akholo Mekrushu, General Secretary in a press release has requested all WCH unit chairmen/representatives; VCCs; GBs; officials of WCH frontal organizations; gazetted officers; Church leaders; unit level presidents/secretaries representing women/ youth / student bodies and Chakhesang elders to compulsorily attend the session. The release further informed that common welfare agenda be submitted in black & white to WCH General Secretary.
