Dimapur, January 29 (MExN): All delegates attending the upcoming NBCC’s 83rd Annual General Council from January 30 To February 2 are advised to take precaution after crossing Jalukie due unfavorable road conditions such as “potholes, cracks and un-surface” areas in certain stretches.” The poor road condition may lead to damages to vehicles and advised to move early and go slowly, informed a press release from the Media Cell of the Liangmai Baptist Association Nagaland, the host of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) council to be held from January 30 To February 2. Further, delegates are advised to travel via old Peren town for their conveniences; mobile network of BSNL, Jio and and Airtel are available, it added.
JLF on Naga Political Issue meeting
Kohima, January 29 (mexn): The Joint Legislators’ Forum (JLF) on Naga Political Issue has convened a Consultative meeting with members of the 13th NLA and Members of both the houses of Parliament on February 12, 10AM at the Conference Hall of Assembly Secretariat. Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) Speaker-in-Charge and Chairman of the JLF, Sharingain Longkumer has requested all the members to attend the scheduled meeting positively.
Kohima Police recovers contraband worth 18 lakh; 1 held
Kohima, January 29 (MExN): The Kohima Police personnel from Khuzama Police Station has arrested one person after 349 grams of suspected heroin worth around 18 lakh were recovered from a vehicle he was driving on January 29. The recovery was made from a vehicle when the personnel conducted a MVCP on NH-2, between Khuzama and Viswema village, informed a press release from PRO, DEF Kohima. The contraband was found concealed inside soap cases, it said. Accordingly, the driver of the vehicle identified as Loli Poumai (27 yrs) of Phaibung under Senapati district, Manipur was arrested and a case has been registered at Khuzama PS for further investigation, it added.
