
YUK informs on domestic helpers
Kohima, February 13 (MExN): Yimchunger Union Kohima (YUK) has informed all concerned in and around Kohima keeping domestic helpers from Yimchunger community on the ground of giving education or training to register his/her name with YUK within the month of February. A press release from YUK President, John Tochimong and Press & Information Secretary, Kezhangulie Yimchunger stated this was to avoid any future complications in case of any untoward incident. “In case, there are some persons who have already left with the registered employers, the employers are requested to inform the Union.” Failing to comply, the YUK will not be held responsible in any incident whatsoever, the release added. St John College holds talk on Union Budget
Dimapur, February 13 (MExN): The department of Economics, St John College, Dimapur organised a seminar talk on Union Budget 2020 on February 10. The seminar was chaired by Marshitet, HoD, Economics and co-presented by Tonoli Awomi and Sumita Banik Saha, also from the Department of Economics. Marshitet highlighted on Aspiration India, Tonoli touched upon the topics of economic development, caring society and financial sector while Sumita spoke on taxation. The seminar was attended by 27 students from the departments of Economics, Philosophy and History and a number of faculty members from other departments of the college.
