DC & DEO Wokha notifies
Wokha, Mach 26 (DIPR): DC & DEO, Wokha Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon (IAS) has informed all the vehicle drivers/owners whose vehicles had been requisitioned for use during the 13th Nagaland Legislative Election 2018 in Wokha district to collect their vehicle documents from the office of the Deputy Commissioner & DEO, Wokha on March 27 and 28 during office hours without fail.
AR apprehend alleged arms peddler
Dimapur, March 26 (MExN): Medziphema battalion of Assam Rifles apprehended an alleged arms peddler identified as Samuel Kutsu (42) in Chumukedima, Dimapur on March 26. A press release from Assam Rifles stated that 2 detonator electric, 62 numbers of .22 live ammunition, and 24 bottles of rum worth around Rs 4500 were recovered from him. The apprehended person along with the seized items was handed over to Chumkedima Police Station for further investigation, it added.
NIIT Dimapur Foundation Day
Dimapur, March 26 (MExN): On the occasion of its 19th Foundation Day on March 27, NIIT Dimapur Center has expressed gratefulness to each and every well-wisher who has contributed in its growth, directly or indirectly. A press release from Daniel Changkiri, Head of Center, NIIT Dimapur Center informed that more than 25,000 students have undergone NIIT’s computer training in Dimapur for the short and long term courses, besides more than 100 freshers from various tribes and religions getting employed at the center in the last 18 years. More than 3,000 NIITians have got decent jobs regionally & nationally, and many more are utilizing the computer learning in respective self-employment, it added. Meanwhile, the Center informed that classes will be suspended on March 29 and 30 owing to Mahavir Jayanti and Good Friday. Classes will resume on March 31, which will be celebrated as Hanuman Jayanti.
ARSU tells teachers to be regular in schools
Zunheboto, March 26 (MExN): In view of the new academic session for the students, Atoizu Range Students’ Union (ARSU) has notified to all the teachers in the Government High Schools of Akuhaito, Apukito, and Atoizu to be at their respective schools for smooth functioning of the schools. Surprise checking will be done and the teachers found absent shall be reported to the higher authority, ARSU cautioned in a press release issued by president, Aketovi.
DC Kohima issues public notice
Kohima, March 26 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner of Kohima Rajesh Soundararajan (IAS) has issued a Public Notice for claims and objections, if any, for change of clan name or surname from Dzeyie/ Dzieyie/ D. Sogotsu/ Angami of Sogotsu Khel, Chiechama Village to that of “Sogotsu” of Sogotsu Clan of Chiechama Village under Chiephobozou Sub-Division. The DC has directed public to file claims and objection, if any, within 30 days from the date of issue of this notice. Thereafter no claims and objection will be accepted.
