Launch of LEA, FBO training modules
Kohima, March 27 (MExN): A formal launching of the Law Enforcement Agency and Faith Based Organization Training Modules will take place on March 29 under the aegis of Kripa Foundation (Project Sunrise), FHI 360 and Nagaland State AIDS Control Society. Chief secretary Temjen Toy will be chief guest. The programme will take place at Hotel Japfü, Kohima at 10:30 am.
DC wokha notifies
Wokha, March 27 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner, Wokha Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon, IAS, has issued notification for clearance of materials like building materials, stone boulders, stone chips, sand, rods and off road vehicles lying along NH-2 and other town roads within Wokha Town, which obstruct smooth flow of traffic and also cause blockage of drains along the road. It further observed the encroachment of town roads due to construction of footsteps by private house owners. In view of the above, all concerned have been directed to clear all such materials, off roads vehicles from the roadside and clear the footsteps within 7 days from the issue of this order. Violation of this order will lead to seizure of such materials/off road vehicles and will be auctioned off, and such footsteps shall be demolished by the authority without further notice, warned the DC.
Finance dept informs
Kohima, March 27 (MExN): Finance Department (Budget & Monitoring Cell) in a circular today said that the State Bank of India (SBI) has informed that during the last financial year some departments’ bills and challans could not be processed/passed as they were received after the cut-off date of End of Day (EOD) which is March 31, 12:00 pm. In order to avoid such inconveniences, all departments have been instructed to ensure that all bills/challans are presented to the Treasuries well in advance, so that such bills/challans reach the State Bank of India in time for processing payments, stated the circular issued by Y. Kikheto Sema, IAS, Secretary to the Govt. of Nagaland.
Mobile Lok Adalat: Owners asked to carry all vehicle documents
Dimapur, March 27 (MExN): The Dimapur District Legal Services Authority (DDLSA) in collaboration with Traffic Police Dimapur (TPD) will be conducting Mobile Lok Adalat/ MVCP on March 31 in and around Dimapur. Therefore, all the vehicle owners have been requested to carry all the relevant documents pertaining to their own vehicle. Defaulters will be penalised as per the Motor Vehicle Act, cautioned a press release from DDLSA.
Kohima Combined Easter Sunrise Service
Kohima, March 27 (MExN): Kohima Combined Easter Sunrise Service will take place on April 1 at Kohima War Cemetery at 5:00 am. Kohima Baptist Pastors' Fellowship president Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao will be the speaker, while H. Moba, pastor, Konyak Baptist Church, Kohima will lead the service.
Demo on organic pesticide
Aghunaqa, March 27 (MExN): Demonstration on preparation of organic pesticides was conducted at Tohukhu village with Aketoli, ATM Aghunaqa block as the resource person. She demonstrated on the garlic, chilli and ginger extract of organic pesticides, informed a press release from Vinatoli Yeptho, BTM, Aghunaqa block. This organic pesticide is good against pod sucking bugs, Epilachna beetle, pumpkin beetle, plant hopper, mealy bugs, aphids, stem borers, caterpillars and worms etc. The programme was chaired by Mikato, ATM Aghunaqa block.
