DEO Dimapur informs
Dimapur, April 2 (MExN): District Education Officer of Dimapur, R Amongla Jamir has notified to all central and private schools in Dimapur district that the department is conducting its annual collection of school statistics as on September 30, 2017 as per UDISE (DCF) and SDMIS (SDCF) formats. This is in continuation with the order No.SSA/NAGA/EMIS/CORRES/2016-17 Dated Kohima the 20th March 2018, Nagaland Education Mission Society- SSA. “Information should be fully furnished, which is mandatory and uniform throughout the country yearly,” the DEO stated in a press release. All the colleges/schools (classes PP to 12) under Dimapur district have been requested to collect the said formats from the office of the District Education Officer, Dimapur, Room No. 3 first floor between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. Free medical camp today
Dimapur, April 2 (MExN): Hindu Yuva Sanga is organizing a free medical camp on April 3 at Government Primary School, K Sachu colony in Dimapur. The medical camp will start at 10:00 am. A press release has informed that doctors across the State will be present for better diagnosis of the diseases.  

CPO mourns demise
Dimapur, April 2 (MExN): The Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) has expressed shock over the demise of Chokriveyi Venyo, former NSF president and former CPO press secretary during the tenure 2009-2011. Venyo passed away at Zion Hospital, Dimapur on March 30. In a condolence message, CPO described the deceased as a committed and sincere leader who had selflessly rendered his service toward the Chakhesang community in particular and Nagas in general. “His demise was a great loss and has created a huge vacuum that would be hard to be filled,” it stated. The organisation also conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed to God to grant them solace and comfort.  

Training on tree tomato management
Kohima, April 2 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Sechü-Zubza block conducted training on tree tomato management at Kiruphema village on March 27 with ATM Keviravono Visa as the resource person. Keviravono emphasized on site selection, importance of season and spacing of planting, informed a press release. She also gave detailed explanation on identification of pests and diseases and the ways to tackle them without the use of hazardous chemical pesticides. The programme, attended by 18 farmer's friend and ATMA functionaries, concluded with a fruitful interaction among the participants, the release added.
