Center informs on fake advertisement 

KOHIMA, APRIL 6 (DIPR): The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of School Education & Literacy (Mid-Day Meal Division), Government of India has informed that one fake advertisement for recruitment to various post for Mid Day Meal Scheme on contract basis has been floated in many states of the country, especially in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Bihar. All State Governments/UTs have been informed that no such advertisement has been issued by Ministry of Human Resource Development. Therefore, all such response/references in this regard may be considered as fake and be treated accordingly. All States/UTs have also been requested to issue disclaimer in local media so that general public are not duped by such frivolous/fake advertisements.  

DoSE informs

Kohima, April 6 (MExN): The Directorate of School Education (DoSE) has informed all officers under Elementary and Secondary section that the tentative seniority list of officers for 2018 has been prepared and will be made available at respective DEO office. A press release from Wonthungo Tsopoe, Director, in this regard asked officers to check their position in seniority list and submit claims and objections with documents if any at Room No. 12 at the Directorate on or before May 7. The DEO and SDEO have also been informed to collect the seniority list at the directorate. Furthermore, all officers and GTs are to submit 5 years APAR from April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2018.  

Untrained Hindi Teachers informed

Kohima, April 6 (MExN): The Directorate of School Education has invited all untrained Hindi Teachers (UGHT/GHT/PGHT) serving under the Directorate and appointed after September 2001 to apply for professional training at CIH Agra and other Centres for the Academic Year 2018 on or before April 21. The Directorate has informed that the applications have to be made in the prescribed format along with appointment order, latest transfer order and all the educational documents from matric onward (Xerox copies) and duly signed and forwarded by the concerned DEO/SDEO/Principal/Head Master to Room No. 39, DSE Nagaland. The prescribed format can be obtained from the DSE/DEO/SDEO’s office during office hour. Teachers who have already completed professional training need not apply.  

Awareness prog on menstrual health held

Dimapur, April 6 (MExN): Innerwheel Club of Dimapur organised an awareness programme on benefits of breastfeeding, maternal and child health, and menstrual health and hygiene at Gautam Basti, in Diphu Sub-Division of neighbouring Assam. Around 60 women participated in the interactive programme where they were educated on the benefits of breastfeeding and topics relating to menstrual health and hygiene. The club later distributed free sanitary napkins to the participants and encouraged them to maintain good hygiene during their menstrual cycles. A women’s organisation, Innerwheel Club of Dimapur is committed to promoting women and child health and will carry out more such projects in the future, a press release stated.  

Tuensang colony condemns AR raid

Tuensang, April 6 (MExN): The DC Mechanical Colony Union of Tuensang Town has vehemently condemned the 40 Assam Rifles for raiding the residence of Kiumuhean Yim, a former vice chairman of the Tuensang Town Council and current Advisor of the colony's union, on March 29. A press release from the union defended Yim as a “good citizen” and a senior citizen of the locality who has supported and helped many. As such, the union insisted that the AR conducted the raid “without any valid reason.” “Such act of false allegation has created fear psychosis and insecure feelings among the peaceful citizen,” the union stated and further demanded that the authority concerned clarify the intent and the reason behind the raid.
