World Fish Migration Day

Dimapur, April 16 (MExN): World Fish Migration Day will be observed on April 21 at Lavi Lake, organized by Anglers Association Nagaland (AAN) in association with Department of Fisheries, Government of Nagaland. Resource person for fish migration awareness camp will be Dr Vimezo Kire, Deputy Director, Fisheries GoN, while technical resource persons will be Er Mulato and Asang Jamir. Isaac Zhimomi, senior Advisor AAN will give exhortation. A press release from Phukato Sumi, president AAN informed that children (5 to 15 years), parents and anglers will attend the programme.  

NSCN (R) ‘indefinitely’ suspends 2

Dimapur, April 16 (MExN): The NSCN (Reformation) “indefinitely” suspended two of its members with immediate effect on grounds of “breach of National Ahza and party discipline” during the Cabinet meeting held on April 16. “The action of Zupeng Pochury, Kilonser violated the norms as enshrined in the ‘Party Discipline’ under Clause 3 (Security) no. 6 and also Clause D (Anti Social Activities), no. 4. Jungshi, Dy. Kilonser was found to have violated the ‘Party Discipline’ as mentioned in Clause A (Discipline), no 9, Clause C (Security) no 4, and also Clause D (Anti- Social Activities), no 5,” stated a press release from MIP, NSCN (Reformation). The NSCN (R) has directed the above mentioned individuals to comply with the directive and also submit the government’s property(s) with immediate effect.  

NSCN (IM) condoles

Hebron, April 16 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has mourned the demise of Sergeant Major Lutuho Kiba (Army no. 44086/15) of the GHQ, Naga Army. He passed away on April 14 at Eden Hospital, Dimapur after a prolonged illness. Kiba had joined the national service on November 20, 2015, informed a condolence message from MIP, NSCN (IM). “The office of the Adjutant General, GHQ, Naga Army, in recognition of his service rendered towards the Naga nation and as a mark of tribute to him, bestowed upon him posthumously the rank of 2nd Lieutenant,” it said. Acknowledging that the deceased remained loyal and dedicated to the national service until his demise, it added his contribution to the national cause shall ever be cherished. The NSCN (IM) further paid homage to the departed soul and also extended condolence to his bereaved family members.
