Kohima, April 26 (MExN): The Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) is launching diagnostic test kit for detecting paragonimiasis and awareness programme on paragonimiasis in the north eastern states on April 27 at 9:00 am in the healthcare laboratory & research centre, NHAK.
ACYA Sports Meet 2018
Kohima, April 26 (MExN): The Angami Catholic Youth Association (ACYA) of St. Francis de Sales (SFS) Parish Kohima Town is organizing the 3rd ACYA Sports Meet 2018 from April 27 to 28 at D. Khel Ground and IG Stadium in Kohima. In this regard, ACYA, SFS has invited all its youth members, well-wishers and friends to the two-day sports event.
Food testing team inspects Super Market
Kohima, April 26 (DIPR): Mobile food testing team from State Public Health Laboratory (SPHL) Kohima and Food Safety Officials (FSO), Dimapur carried out food analysis on loose spices sold at Super Market area, Dimapur on April 25. The items were reportedly dyed with cancer causing synthetic colours. According to the team, they found Kesari Dal, which is prohibited under the Food Safety Act, being sold as food item. It reportedly causes paralysis and also leads to loss of lives. The SPHL also claimed to have found Metanil Yellow which causes degenerative changes in the lining of stomach, kidney and liver and also affects ovaries and testes. Rhodamine dye which breaks down Red Blood Cells and adversely causes growth retardation and damages the liver and kidney, and the Sudan dye which is highly toxic to liver were also found by the testing team.
FGN offers condolence
Kohima, April 26 (MExN): The Naga Army, Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has extended condolence to the bereaved family members and relatives of Col. Kedulhinyi, who passed away on April 26 at his native Zapami village, Chakhesang Region. “He was a true patriot and a recipient of Military Cross (MC) of Naga Army. His untimely demise is a great loss and an irreplaceable vacuum for the Nation and community. Yet his patriotic deeds and sacrificial service rendered to the nation will always remain alive in the history of our Nation,” stated a condolence message from Tavecho Lala, C-in-C, Naga Army, FGN.
TPO lauds orgs for adhering to undertaking on land dispute
Kohima, April 26 (MExN): The Tenyimi Peoples Organisation (TPO) has lauded the Mao council, Southern Angami Public Organisation, and Maram Khullen for “being true to the undertaking that was signed on November 28, 2017 to further the amicable settlement of the protracted Kezoltsa/Kozürü/Kazing land dispute.” A press release from TPO president, Timikha Koza and general secretary, Vipopal Kintso stated that during the recent visit of TPO officials to the disputed area, it was found “satisfactorily” that all roads leading to the area remain cut-off and no activities in the form of logging, hunting, fishing, etc are evident. “It is laudable that with such firm adherence to the commitments, trust is restored giving confidence to bring about a peaceful resolution,” it added.
YWCA Dimapur celebrates World YWCA Day
Dimapur, April 26 (MExN): Under the theme ‘Find Your Voice, Share Your Story’, Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) of Dimapur celebrated World YWCA Day at its office complex at Nagarjan on April 24.
