Annual raising day of Home Guards, Civil Defence & State Disaster Response force (SDRF) was observed at District Office premises Mokokchung on December 6. A brief programme was observed which commence at 10:00AM under the chairmanship of Imlimatsung, Company Commander. A short speech about the significance of the occasion and of the organization was delivered by Mulai Lamniah, District Commandant. This was followed by demonstration on basic life support and patient assessment under medical first responder (MFR) by SDRF Personnel and announcement of DGs commendation certificated to the serving HGs /WHG personnel from the District establishment.

Central Training Institute of Nagaland Home Guards, Civil Defence & State Disaster Response Force also observed the Raising Day at the Central Training Institute Ground in Dimapur on December 6. During the celebration, Commandant, S Rotokha Zhimomi, spoke on expanding role of the Home Guards, Civil Defence & State Disaster Response Force in society over the years. A brief demonstration was performed by the instructors of Central Training Institute on disaster management. Reading out VIP messages by S.I, Maongkaba, was also one of the highlights of the programme. To mark the day, a friendly volleyball match was played between the NCOs and other ranks after the programme.

Advisor, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Evaluation, Economic & Statistics, Government of Nagaland, L Khumo inaugurated Panso Public Ground on December 9. The Advisor also donated an ambulance towards PHC Panso which was handed over through Pathso Area GBs Union. Meanwhile, Divisional Manager NST, Tuensang, Andrew P Tikhir inaugurated NST staff quarter cum booking counter at Panso. Closing function for multi skilled handyman organised by Department of Employment, Skilled Development & Entrepreneurship in collaboration with Zynorique Initiative Society was held on December 9 at town hall Changtongya Town. The programme was chaired by Atsie Kenneth, DEO Mokokchung. Exhortation was given by Youth Moulding Centre Changtongya Presentation Zynorique Initiative Society. Vote of thanks was delivered by Er.
