In continuation with the tree plantation campaign, a plantation drive was undertaken by HQ 5 Sector Assam Rifles and affiliated units under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) on July 12 in Kohima, Chieswema, Phek, Kiphire and Wokha. A total of 8050 saplings of various varieties were planted in these locations in an effort to enhance the green cover of our planet. “To ensure the longevity of these plants, ownership has been entrusted to respective individuals who have planted them,” informed a press note.
