ATMA Longleng inaugurated a Coffee Farm School on June 30 at Orangkong village under Longleng block. During the inaugural programme, BTM Longleng block Aienla explained the role of a farm teacher and also the concept of a farm school. She also highlighted the prospects of coffee plantation to the farmers. S. Pangao Phom was appointed as the farm teacher.[/caption]

Resource person Longri, Fishery Inspector, Mangkolemba trained the farmers on importance of integrated fish farming, liming, construction of fish pond, fish feed etc. The programme, attended by 22 farmers, was chaired by Limawapangla Lkr, Block Technology Manager, ATMA.[/caption]

The Science Department of Mount Mary Higher Secondary School, Chumukedima organised a Science Seminar on July 7 at MMC Hall. Special invitee Sothing Vashum, Medical Physicist, Department of Radiation Oncology, CIHSR gave a lecture on electromagnetic waves. Chairman of the school Dr. M. Chuba Ao, Principal Bhim Bahadur, Vice Principal C. Nungshimongla and other senior teachers also attended the seminar. The highlights of the programme were PowerPoint presentation from class 12 (Science) and paper presentations by class 10 followed by lecture and presentation.[/caption]
