The Kohima Village Students’ Union (KVSU) will be organizing “NextStep Kohima 2026” (Educational & Career Fair) on October 15 at Kohima Village Ground, Ziekezou.

This was announced by KVSU official and organizing committee during a press conference at Kohima Press Club in Kohima.

The Fair will witness around 2000 students from more than 50 schools and colleges including parents and educators.

The press conference was addressed by KVSU president Khriesaneikuo Kire, Organizing committee convenor Albert Seluokuolie Rutsa and Co- Convenor Keneiser Mere.

The KVSU stated that students today have access to more educational and career opportunities than ever before. Yet, navigating these choices without reliable information and guidance can be challenging, often leaving students to make important decisions based on limited knowledge or outside opinions

“NextStep Kohima” aims to change that, it stated.

The KVSU intend to bring top universities, skill centres, coaching hubs, and education loan providers together under one roof, making it easy for students and parents to explore options and make informed choices.

“We hope to showcase the Northeast as a strong and credible education hub, with access and opportunities on par with the rest of the country,” the KVSU stated.

The Fair will give students the opportunity to get first-hand knowledge from the institution representatives, alumni's, and career mentors allowing them to understand courses, career pathways, and opportunities.

NextStep Kohima is positioned as a platform where students can come to explore the opportunities avaiable to them, talk to institution representatives and make informed decisions.
