Maligaon, September 13 (MExN): Northeast Frontier Railway has taken a quantum jump towards safety on September 12 by eliminating all unmanned level crossings through various means. As on April 1, a total of 151 Unmanned Level Crossings were eliminated. 136 were eliminated by manning, 10 by construction of road under bridge and 5 by direct closing, a release from Chief PRO, PJ Sharma stated. NF Railway becomes one of the 1st railways to achieve this target ahead of the stipulated time, it also informed.
