Maligaon, September 24 (MExN): Northeast Frontier Railway (Construction) General Manager Ashish Bansal inspected the Bairabi–Sairang Railway Line on September 22 and reviewed the progress of ongoing development works.
Bansal also undertook a window trailing inspection from Badarpur to Sairang during the visit.
At Sairang, he inspected the construction of a washing pit line for coaches, which will facilitate efficient cleaning, servicing and upkeep of coaching stock, and a sick line for coaches built for proper examination, maintenance and repair.
Special attention was given to residential facilities for railway employees. Bansal inspected staff quarters at Sairang and reviewed the construction of additional quarters to meet growing accommodation requirements.
On September 23, Bansal met Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma and discussed matters related to railway development and ongoing projects in the state.
He also interacted with railway officers and staff, appreciating their efforts and stressing the need for high standards of safety, efficiency and timely completion of ongoing works.
