Maligaon, November 12 (MExN): Northeast Frontier Railway has been constantly progressing in freight loading and has loaded 0.935 million tonnes (MT) during October 2022. This is an increase of 7.2% in comparison to the corresponding period of the previous year. NF Railway has loaded 6.823 MT from April to October of this financial year. This is an increase of 19.8% as compared to corresponding period of the previous year.
During October, 2022, coal loading increased by 800% and loading of few other commodities also increased by a good margin in comparison to corresponding period of the previous year. During the month, fertilizer loading increased by 11.1%, dolomite loading increased by 4.3% and loading of other commodities increased by 16.3%.
During the current financial year from April to October, coal loading increased by 1054.5%, dolomite loading increased by 12.7% in comparison to corresponding period of the previous year, fertilizer loading increased by 14%, POL loading increased by 8.7%, container loading increased by 8.6% and other commodities increased by 29%. It is an overall increase of 19.8%.
