NF Railway undertakes intensive cleanliness drives

Maligaon, October 19 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NF) has undertaken special intensive cleanliness drives in all the divisions- Katihar, Alipurduar, Rangiya, Lumding and Tinsukia with active participation of railway staffs and the Bharat Scouts and Guides (BS&G). 

Cleanliness drives are being organized at stations, concourse areas, coaches, tracks, waiting rooms and workplaces etc throughout the divisions to maintain proper hygiene, Guneet Kaur, Chief Public Relations Officer stated in a press release. 

The District Associations of BS&G NF Railway participated in the Clean India Project since October 2 along with their counterpart throughout the country. Vaccination camps are also organized.

Members of the BS&G NF Railway, Badarpur District Association participated by cleaning various places in the surrounding areas like railway hospital, pond, road, school campus, railway station etc from October 2. Members of BS&G NF Railway, Alipurduar District Association participated by cleaning river, school campus, drainage, roads and other places. Similar programmes were carried out by other district associations under the divisions of NF Railway. It will be carried out in the divisions till November 1, it stated.

The BS&G NF Railway, Badarpur District Association organized 23rd COVID-19 vaccination camp on October 4 at District Scout Hut, Badarpur and vaccinated 150 people. The Association organized its 24th vaccination camp on October 18. Total 150 people of surrounding areas were vaccinated.
