Dimapur, August 7 (MExN): The NFHRCC has resolved to gently remind the Department (PWD,R&B) on a resolution taken on the joint meeting held on June 22, 2022 in Kohima to release the “running bill on performance to the respective Contractors to complete their works on time as in some sectors had completed 90% of the allocated works.”
It was among other resolutions adopted during the Nagaland Foothill Road Co-ordination Committee (NFHRCC) meeting held on August 6 in Dimapur, a press release from the committee informed.
The meeting further resolved to request the Department of PWD,R&B for a joint inspection to the Baghty Division at the earliest in consonance with June 22 meeting resolution, it said.
The NFHRCC has also decided to convene a joint meeting with all the primary stake holders along the Foothills road stretch from Tizit to Niuland –the Village councils, the Local area CSOs, the Stone Gravel& Boulder Contractors’ Union, the Log Contractors and the Saw Mills Owners’ Union, the Coal Mining Contractors and the Transporters’ Union and the respective tribal Hohos on August 19 in Dimapur.
It further resolved to have an interactive meeting with the Advisor,PWD (R&B) at the earliest.
