NFHRCC passes resolutions on Foothill road project

Dimapur, August 1 (MExN): ‘It is evident that due to lack of proper supervision and co-ordination among the agencies, many projects in Nagaland State have not been executed robustly and as a result of which innocent publics are paying heavy price with tears and sweats,’ observed Nagaland Foothill Road Co-ordination Committee (NFHRCC) on Tuesday. 

Therefore, to avoid such misadventures and to maintain the workmanship, it has been unanimously resolved that Tripartite Agreement on convention or shall be signed between NFHRCC, concerned department and the executing firms before the commencement of works both under North East Council (NEC) and mega project.

Informing this in a press release, the committee said that NFHRCC, Apex Tribal Hohos and Legislatures arrived at several resolutions during a consultative meeting held at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur on July 28 last. The house also reiterated its appeal to the Nagaland State Government to positively take up the Foothills Road Project through NEC in consonant with the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Resolution dated 22nd September 2022.

It was also stated that in order to strengthen the committee and for the smooth initiative of the historic project, the Apex Tribal Hohos empowers the NFHRCC to exercise for the replacement and appointment of the committee members based on their commitments.
