NFHRCC reiterates stand on Foothill Road alignment

Dimapur, May 16 (MExN): Nagaland Foothill Road Construction Committee (NFHRCC), during a consultative meeting with the Lotha Hoho at Merapani Village council hall on May 15, has reiterated to stand with the 2013 original alignments with exception to minor need-based alteration in line with the local context.

In a press release, NFHRCC has acknowledged Lotha Hoho led by its Chairman Er Mhondamo Ovung (Rtd, Chief Engineer, PHE) for their commitment to stand firmly on the original alignments inclusively.

Later, the committee inspected the Bridge construction site at three locations at Baghty division.

The two bridges at River Sungkhaju and Jungju, undertaken by M/S P Mha-Tum & Co and Quicker Enterprise respectively are progressing upto expectation. However, the Committee expressed its dissatisfaction on the slow progress of the work at River Tsumang undertaken by M/S Pele Khezhie (NCSU) and advised them to expedite the work as per the DPR and timeline given.

Meanwhile, NFHRCC also undertook work dedication and site inspection programme on May 13 at Rengmapani Village foothills connectivity road. Undertaken by M/S T. Albert Angami & Co, “the progress of the work is extremely satisfactory,” the committee stated.
