
DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 9 (MExN): The Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has convened a crucial meeting of all relevant stakeholders on December 12 at 10 AM at its base office in Kher Mahal, Dimapur.
The meeting aims to discuss the next steps for the 1st Phase 2-lane Foothill Road construction, with key participants including Dimapur-based tribal hohos, the Young Nagas Action Committee for Foothills Road, representatives from the Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union (NCSU), Nagaland Government Registered Class-1 Contractors, NPWD officials (including Divisional Executive Engineers), and selected contractors firms.
A central item on the agenda will be the Tripartite Agreement to be signed between the concerned departments, the contractors, and the NFHRCC, to ensure the judicious and timely execution of the project in accordance with the specifications laid out by the NPWD and R&B in the Detailed Project Report (DPR).
The NFHRCC has expressed its gratitude for the steadfast support from the 12 tribal hohos and the Young Nagas Action Committee, recognizing their role in advancing this critical infrastructure project that will enhance connectivity from Tizit to Khelma. The Committee also commended the Government of Nagaland for mobilizing the necessary funds for this iconic road development initiative.
In a statement, the NFHRCC emphasized the importance of commitment from all stakeholders, urging full participation in the upcoming meeting. The committee warned that any failure to attend this crucial gathering would be taken seriously.
