Guwahati, October 18 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to operate another festival special train between Katihar and Amritsar to facilitate the passengers during festive rush from October 23.
The festival special train will run for two trips each in both directions, informed an official release.
Train no. 04680 (Amritsar-Katihar) will depart from Amritsar at 8AM on October 22 and 27 to reach Katihar at 4:30 PM, the next day.
From Katihar, Train No. 04679 (Katihar - Amritsar) will depart from Katihar at 8PM on October 23 and 28, to reach Amritsar at 4:30AM on the third day.
During it’s both ways journey the festival special train, comprising of 2 AC three tier, 11 sleeper class, 9 general coaches and 2 luggage vans, will run via Barauni Jn., Gorakhpur, Moradabad and Ludhiana Jn. Stations, the release informed. The details of stoppages and timings of this train are available at IRCTC website and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of the NFR, it added.
Meanwhile, the NFR informed that Train No. 52539/52538 (New Jalpaiguri – Darjeeling – New Jalpaiguri) AC passenger will remain cancelled from October 29 to December 16, due to poor ‘patronisation.’
