NFR announces extension of festival special trains

Maligaon, November 5 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) on Wednesday announced the extension of services for four pairs of festival special trains during November 2025 to clear the extra rush of passengers.

The special trains include the New Tinsukia-SMVT Bengaluru-New Tinsukia (05952/05951), Kamakhya-Rohtak-Kamakhya (05625/05626), Katihar-Amritsar-Katihar (05736/05735), and Kishanganj-Amritsar-Kishanganj (05734/05733) pairs. These trains will operate with their existing schedules, timings, and stoppages.

Accordingly, train No. 05952 from New Tinsukia to SMVT Bengaluru will now also run on November 6, 2025, while its return counterpart, train No. 05951, will run on November 10, 2025. The Kamakhya-Rohtak special (05625) has been extended to run on November 14, 21, and 28. In the return direction, the Rohtak-Kamakhya special (05626) will run on November 16, 23, and 30.

The Katihar-Amritsar special (05736) will operate on November 12, 19, and 26, with its return service, the Amritsar-Katihar special (05735), running on November 14, 21, and 28.

The Kishanganj-Amritsar special (05734) is extended for two trips on November 20 and 27, while the Amritsar-Kishanganj special (05733) will run on November 22 and 29.

The extension is expected to benefit waitlisted passengers on these routes. Full details of timings and stoppages are available on the IRCTC website and NFR's social media platforms, the railway said in a statement.
