MALIGAON, NOVEMBER 10 (MExN): In response to the ongoing rush of passengers during the post-Chhath festival period, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will operate 10 special train services. These additional services are aimed at accommodating the increased number of passengers travelling to and from various destinations after the festival, a press release issued by CPRO, NFR informed.
The special trains will include Train No 05744, which will depart from Katihar at 16:00 hrs and reach Chhapra at 00:20 hrs the following day. Train No 05738 will leave Katihar at 11:25 hrs and arrive at Gomti Nagar at 07:15 hrs the next day. Train No 07541 will depart Katihar at 19:00 hrs and reach Dauram Madhepura at 22:00 hrs the following day. Train No. 07540 will leave Katihar at 20:30 hrs and arrive in Manihari at 21:30 hrs, Train No 05638 (Silchar - Naharlagun) special will depart from Silchar at 13:50 hrs to reach Naharlagun at 08:40 hrs the next day, Train No 08181 (Tatanagar - Katihar) special will depart from Tatanagar at 22:40 hrs to reach Katihar at 15:15 hrs the next day, Train No 08625 (Purnia Court - Ranchi) special will depart from Purnia Court at 12:10 hrs to reach Ranchi at 05:30 hrs the next day, Train No. 07030 (Secunderabad - Agartala) special will depart from Secunderabad at 16:35 hrs to reach Agartala at 03:10hrs on November 14. Lastly, Train No 05798 will depart Jogbani at 20:20 hrs and reach Amritsar at 13:40 hrs on November 13.
To ensure smooth travel for passengers, extensive arrangements have been made at railway stations. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) is overseeing organized boarding procedures to manage the rush efficiently. Major stations will feature waiting areas, public announcement systems, train display boards, seating arrangements, and CCTV cameras for the convenience and safety of travellers.
