Maligaon, August 12 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) began the celebration of the nation’s Independence Day, to be observed on August 15, with the 4th edition of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign.
At the NFR (Construction), General Manager Arun Kr Chaudhary led a gathering of officers and employees in celebrating the nation’s values.
The Personnel Department/Construction Organisation organised a Tiranga Yatra on August 12 with the participation of over 200 officers, staff, and representatives from NFREU and NFRMU along with senior officials, informed an NFR release.
To further encourage participation, a selfie booth was set up at the GM/Con/NFR office premises, motivating personnel to capture and share their pride on the national platform harghartiranga.com, it said. A short film highlighting the importance of the Tiranga and India’s freedom struggle was screened in the conference hall.
On the occasion, Chaudhary also encouraged everyone to uphold honesty and integrity — values that truly define patriotism and public service.
The NFR also distributed National Flags to all officers and staff to hoist at their homes from August 13-15, ensuring that the tricolour flies not only at workplaces but in every household, the release informed.
Through these initiatives, NFR stands united in celebrating India’s heritage and inspiring all citizens to keep the spirit of patriotism alive, it added.
