NFR cancels, diverts more trains due to protest, flood

Maligaon, June 20 (MExN): In view of large scale agitation leading to damage to railway property including burning of train coaches in areas falling under East Central Railway (Bihar) and damages caused to railway tracks due to flood induced breaches in Chaparmukh-Kampur and Chaparmukh- Senchoa sections of Lumding and Harisinga-Tangla section of Rangiya divisions of Assam, some trains have been cancelled/short-terminated/short-originated/diverted.

Cancellation of trains:

•    15283 (Manihari-Jaynagar) Janki Express, 15770 (Lumding-Alipurduar) Intercity Express, 15707 (Katihar-Amritsar) Express, 12487 (Jogbani-Anand Vihar T) Seemanchal Express, 15603/15604 (Guwahati-Ledo) Intercity Express, 15669 (Guwahati-Dibrugarh) Express, 13176 (Silchar-Sealdah) Kanchanjungha Express of June 20 will remain cancelled.

•    15619 (Gaya-Kamakhya) Express, 13173 (Sealdah-Lumding) Kanchanjunga Express, 15769/15770 (Alipurduar-Lumding-Alipurduar) Intercity Express,  05504 (Mairabari-Guwahati) Special, 07530 (Silghat Town-Guwahati) DEMU Special, 15670/15669 (Dibrugarh-Guwahati-Dibrugarh) Express, 15603/15604 (Guwahati-Ledo-Guwahati) Intercity Express, 15927/15928 (Rangiya-New Tinsukia- Rangiya) Express, 15665/15666 (Guwahati-Mariani-Guwahati) BG Express of June 21 will remain cancelled.

•    05601/05602 (Guwahati- Lumding -Guwahati) Passenger, 12067/12068 (Guwahati-Jorhat Town-Guwahati) Jan Shatabdi Express of June 20 and 21 will remain cancelled.

•    15904 (Chandigarh-Dibrugarh) Express, 05869 (Puri-Rangapara North) Special, 05602 (Lumding-Guwahati) Passenger, 15653 (Guwahati-Jammu Tawi) Amarnath Express of June 22 will remain cancelled.

•    15929 (Tambaram-New Tinsukia) Express of June 23 will remain cancelled.

Short termination/short origination:

•    15895/15896 (Rangiya-Murkongselek-Rangiya) Express of June 20 will be short terminated/short originated at Rangapara North and remain partially cancelled between Rangiya and Rangapara.

•    15962 (Dibrugarh-Howrah) Kamrup Express of June 19 will be short terminated at Rangapara North.

•    12087 (Naharlagun-Guwahati) Express of June 20 will be short terminated at Harmuti.

•    15960 (Dibrugarh-Howrah) Kamrup Express of June 20 will be short terminated/short originated at Guwahati and remain partially cancelled between Dibrugarh and Guwahati.

•    07528 (Haibargaon- Guwahati) DEMU Special of June 20 will be short terminated/short originated at Senchoa and remain partially cancelled between Senchoa and Guwahati.

•    13181 (Kolkata-Silghat Town) Express of June 20 will be short terminated/short originated at Jagiroad and remain partially cancelled between Jagiroad and Silghat Town. 

•    15910 (Lalgarh-Dibrugarh) Avadh Assam Express of June 17 will be short terminated at Guwahati.
Diversion of trains: 

•    15903 (Dibrugarh-Chandigarh) Express of June 20 and will run via Dibrugarh-New Sisiborgaon-Rangiya.

•    15934 (Amritsar-New Tinsukia) Express of June 17 and 12424 (New Delhi-Dibrugarh) Rajdhani Express of June 18 will be diverted and will run via Rangiya-Rangapara North - Dibrugarh.

•    12423 (Dibrugarh-New Delhi) Rajdhani Express of 20.06.2022, 15933 (New Tinsukia- Amritsar) Express and 15909 (Dibrugarh-Lalgarh) Avadh Assam Express of June 21 will run via Dibrugarh-New Sisiborgaon-Rangapara North-Rangiya.

•    15910 (Lalgarh-Dibrugarh) Avadh Assam Express of June 18 will run via Rangiya-Rangapara North-New Sisiborgaon-Dibrugarh.

An update from Sabyasachi De, Chief Public Relations Officer, NFR informed that all trains which normally run through South bank, but presently being diverted through North bank due to flood, will be provided stoppage at Rangiya Jn. Station to facilitate boarding/de-boarding of passengers.
